Mr. Clyde Perry

Chester Mr. Clyde Perry, 74, died Thursday, January 9, 2020, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, January 12, at Wilksburg Baptist Church with Rev. Seth Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Sunday at Wilksburg Baptist Church. Mr. Perry was born January 26, 1945 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Robert Clyde Perry, Sr. and Mary Louise Weaver Perry. He was a graduate of Chester High School and a member of the SC Army National Guard. Mr. Perry retired from Springs Industries Katherine Plant. Clyde enjoyed the outdoors, was a gardener and a great marksman. He loved music and played multiple instruments by ear. Clyde was wild about Nascar. He was a member of Wilksburg Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and lay speaker. He is survived by two children, Teresa Perry of Fort Mill, SC and Bridget Perry Timothy (Christopher) of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Kayleigh Timothy of Orlando, FL, Christopher Timothy, III and Katherine Timothy both of Virginia Beach, VA and Dakota Isaac Perry of Fort Mill, SC; two brothers, his twin, Claude Perry (Joyce) and Robert Young Perry (Helen) both of Chester, SC; a sister, Frances Perry Vance of Great Falls, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by a son Christopher Lee Perry. Memorials may be made to Wilksburg Baptist Church, 3137 Pinckney Rd., Chester, SC 29706.
