Donald Franklin Stroud

Mr. Donald Franklin Stroud, 72, died Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Prisma Health Richland. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church with Mr. Will Stroud officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, also Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Stroud was born August 2, 1952 in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Charlton Franklin Stroud and Betty Aileen Sanders. He was a 1970 graduate of Chester High School and a graduate of Midlands Technical College. Mr. Stroud was retired from Integrated Power Services in Rock Hill, SC as a lead machinist. Don was also owner and operator of Stroud Machining. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church where he previously served as an Elder. Prior to Pleasant Grove Don was a member of Friendship Methodist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Don was Chairman of Trustees and a member of The Praise Team and sang in the Choir.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Phyllis Boyd Stroud and two children, William Justin “Will” Stroud (Nicole) of Ridgeway, SC and Samantha Josephine “Josie” Stroud Starkey (Preston) of Lancaster, SC; four grandchildren, Khloe Hayes, Karlei Starkey, Brooks Stroud and Sailor Starkey; one brother and his identical twin, Dan Stroud (Debbie) ; three sisters, Susan Moser, Sandy Lindsey (Sonny) and Becky Andrade and numerous nieces and nephews.
