Lam Taylor, Jr.

Mr. Lam Taylor, Jr died Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at his home. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2025 at Barron Funeral Home.

He was born March 8, 1959 in Orlando, FL and was the son of the late Lam Taylor Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Blackmon. He attended the schools of Rock Hill SC. Junior was a cake decorator by trade having worked over 20 years with Bilo and Mary’s Cake Box of Chester. He loved to fish and hunt. Mr. Taylor was a member of Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church of Clover, SC. Junior loved his pit bull “Thor” which was his friend and companion.

He is survived by two children, Amber Taylor (Bubba) of Chester, SC and Brandon Taylor of Atlanta, GA; Anita Baker (Sam) of Great Falls, SC whom he loved as his own daughter, Bubba Faulkner,  Anita’s brother: his sisters Betty Taylor (Billy) of Rock Hill, SC and Colleen Clark of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Bryson Taylor, Abbey Ogle, Jay Ogle and Taylor Ogle ; and many special nieces and nephews whom he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 35 years, Nora Cassells Taylor, and his sister Pat Parris.
