THIS OBITUARY IS POSTED AS ACOURTESY FOR MCDONALD AND SON FUNERALHOME, CUMMING, GA Dr. Gale Evans Cobb Clarida, 79, of Cumming, Georgia passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025. Gale was born May 1, 1946, in Norristown, Pennsylvania to the late Albert and Anna Mae Evans. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 37 years, Dr. William Clarida, daughter Heather Cobb and her son Nathan Cobb. She leaves behind a loving fiancee' Dwight Cooper. She is survived by a brother Richard "Dickie" Evans Sr and wife (Judy). Four stepchildren Troy Clarida and wife (Bonnie), Caren Monetta and husband (Steve), John Clarida and wife (Tia), Dave Clarida and wife (Tina), Carmen Lopez, who was like a daughter to Gale, and daughter in law Missy Cobb. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Pierce Cobb, Ryder Clarida, Brenna and Kyla Monroe and Abagail Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews. Her bachelor’s degree was awarded from Lees-McRae College. She attended Richland Technical College where she received a certification in Dental Hygiene. She then taught dental hygiene for several years at Greenville Technical College in Greenville, SC where she was inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha Honor Society. Gale attended the Medical University of South Carolina and earned a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. After graduation, she joined her husband and practiced dentistry until her retirement. Gale had a passion for art and spent many hours painting original pieces in various forms. Other interests included collecting antiques and being active in church activities. Her time spent with family, especially her grandson Pierce, and friends was very precious and treasured. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her fiancee' Dwight Cooper for his unwavering love and affection for Gale while caring for her in her last days. We extend our appreciation to Carmen Lopez and Abagail Smith for their care, compassion, and friendship they had for Gale throughout the years.
