Robert Turner Mayben

Chester Mr. Robert Turner Mayben, 85, died Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Interment is private. Mr. Mayben was born September 19, 1935 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Henry B. Mayben and Anna Bagley Mayben. He was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Zenith Engraving and was also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War.Mr. Mayben was a member of Chester Masonic Lodge #18 and also Hejaz Shrine. Robert was an avid golfer and was proud of his ability to help children through the Shriners Hospital. He was also a member of the former Moose Lodge. Robert was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He is survived by three children, Tim Mayben (Tiffany) of Chester, SC, Billy Mayben (Laura) of York, SC, and Judy Spencer (Lance) of Chester, SC; seven grandchildren, Dani, Casey, Brittany, Ashley, Turner, Stanley and Justin; and numerous great grandchildren; his senior companion Ethel Halsey of Chester, SC; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mayben was preceded in death by his wife Frances Beam Mayben.
