CHESTER Mrs. Nellie Starnes Hudson, 88, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at her home.The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. David Brannen officiating and the interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:00 until2:45 p.m. Sunday at Parkway Baptist Church. Born October 20, 1922 in Chester, South Carolina, Mrs. Hudson was a daughter of the late Lloyd Leverand Ollie Hutto Starnes.She was graduate of Oakley Hall High School where she was a member of the basketball team.She was a retired weaverfrom Springs Industries with over thirty years of service and also worked as a senior companion for Chester Senior Services. Surviving are her son Loren E. ?Sonny? Hudson(Sallie) of Lake Wateree, SC; four grandsons: Loren E. ?Gene? Hudson, Jr. (Kelly), Keith Hudson (Julie) and Eric Hudson(Crystale) all of Chester and Jamie Lyner(Karen) of Rock Hill, SC; eight great grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Hayley, Kayden and Dylan Hudson and Jordan Ramsey all of Chester, Jacob Davis and Hannah Lyner both of Sylacauga, Alabama; two sisters, Ruby Roof of Chester and Shirley Jolly of Rock Hill.She was preceded in death by her husband Loren Wylie Hudson, a daughter Sandra Lyner and a son Samuel W.
