Mrs. Mary Julia Clowney Killian, 82, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the home of her daughter.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Bryson Williams and Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Barron Funeral Home. Born May 6, 1930 in Blair, SC, Mrs. Killian was the daughter of the late Spratt Clowney, Sr. and Marie Crowder Clowney.She was a graduate of Monticello High School and retired from Springs Industries.She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and the widow of Davis G. Killian. Surviving are one daughter, Jennie K. Stuart and her husband Mark of Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren, Will Stuart of Fort Mill, SC and Julie S. Swadley and her husband Charles ofSugarland, TX; three brothers, Spratt Clowney, Jr. of Blair, SC, Bill Clowney of Union, SC and Sammy Clowney of Rock Hill, SC.
