Chester Mrs. Lillie Melton Friendly, 89, died Friday, March 26, 2021. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 29, 2021at Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Steve Bishop officiating. Mrs. Friendly was born October 3, 1931 in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late Will Melton and Leola Love Melton. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired owner/operator of Purity Grocery. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Sells (Tim) of Chester, SC; one son, Norman Friendly of Chester, SC; two grandchildren, Jessica Sells Rawls (Jonathan) of Chester, SC and Kathryn Marie Deter (Philip) of Irmo, SC; four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lily Kate, Bevan and Eliza Jo; two sisters, Margaret Mobley and Dot Wattenbarger (Garland) of Chester, SC andnumerous nieces and nephews.
