Karen Vess Graham

Mrs. Karen Vess Graham, 75, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday December 29, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Karen was born July 1, 1948 in Chester, SC. She was a graduate of Chester High School, a member of Chester ARP Church and a former member of the Pilot Club. She retired from The Chester News and Reporter after almost forty years of service. Since her retirement, Karen shared weekly game days playing “Spinner” and enjoying other outings with two special friends, Becky Cannon and Dianne Foster. She was preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne McNinch Knox, Samuel Carlisle Knox (whom she considered her father), and Jack Wallace Vess. Survivors include her uncle and aunts, Brice and Eunice Knox, Jean Richardson, and their children Janet Knox (Jim and Jacob) Jones, Linda Knox (David) Warner, Lori Richardson (Bruce) Hodge, and Hope Richardson (Harry) Robbins, as well as numerous other cousins.
