James Charles Lanier

Mr. James Charles Lanier, 74, of 3871 Robinson Road died Tuesday, September 02, 2008 at his residence. The funeal will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lando Church of God with Reverend Edward Harris officiating.Burial will be at Lando Cemetery. Born in Blacksburg, SC, December 28, 1933, Mr. Lanier was the son of the late Jim and Ollie Batchler Lanier.He was retired from Daniel Construction Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.He attended schools of Chester County and was a member of Lando Church of God. Surviving are his wife, Nancy G. Lanier; one son, Charles Eugene ?Gene? Lanier of Chester, SC; two step-sons, Jasper Wright and Eddie Wright both of York, SC; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Lanier of York, SC, Allen Lanier of Edgemoor, SC and Harvey Lanier of Statesville, NC and one sister, Carol Funderburk of Rock Hill, SC.He was preceded in death by a son, James Vernon Lanier of Chester, SC.
