Mr. James Everette Crosby, 75, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at Uni-Health Post Acute Care in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 27 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Waldrip and Rev. Vernon Craig officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 1:00 ? 2:00 PM Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born February 5, 1936 in Chester, SC, Mr. Crosby was a son of the late Major Albert and Leila Worthy Crosby.He was a graduate of Chester High School and York Technical College.He was retired from Springs Industries and also worked with Schegel Corporation and Willamette.He was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Crosby and his wife Ellen of Rock Hill and Major Crosby of Chester; two sisters, Sadie Howell of Chester and Ruth Craig and her husband Clifford of Chester.He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, John, and Ernest Crosby and three sisters, Mary Hare, Hattie Lingerfelt and Annie Mae McCollum.
