Mr. Herbert Rudolph Young, 63, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home.A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. David Sealy officiating.The interment will be private. Born June 28, 1953 in Chester, SC, Mr. Young was a son of the late Alvin Young and Doris McCollum Young Mobley.He attended the schools of Chester County and a veteran of the U.S. Army.He was formerly employed with Leitner Construction and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Oliver Young. He is survived by his wife of over thirty-two years, Karen Pierce Young; two daughters, Amy Marie Smith of Carlisle and Tabitha Byars (Martin) of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Marilyn Goings and Nathan Gene Revels both of Carlisle and Morgan Byars andPhillip Byars both of Rock Hill, SC and one sister, Olivia Martin of Gaffney, SC.
