Chester: Vivian Fay Mosley McWaters, 78, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral Service will be held 3:00 Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Neil Keisler, Reverend Melvin Pressley and Reverend Stan DeGraw officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Baron Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 2217 Marcengill Road, Chetser, SC 29706. Interment will be held at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McWaters was born on January 12, 1934 in Union, SC. She was a daughter of the late Glenn Mosley and Lottie Mae Willard Mosley. She attended the schools of Union County and was retired from Springs Industries as a Quiller Tender. Mrs. McWaters was a member of Bride of Christ Freewill Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Carl A. McWaters; four sons, Alvin McWaters (Debby) of Eure, NC, Randy McWaters (Eunice) of Chester, SC, Douglas McWaters (Pat) of Blackstock, SC and Timothy McWaters (Emily) of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Debra Alley (Billy) of Chester, SC; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one brother, James Mosley of Durham, NC and three sisters, Doris Alcon of Burlington, NC, Mary McCoy and Carol Keisler both of Union, SC. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael McWaters, a daughter Lorraine McWaters, and two great great grandchildren, Maslin Smith and Aiden Hawkins.
