ChesterMr. Ernest Roy Blackwell, 86, died Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Chester Nursing Center.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Winstead officiating.The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Terry Blackwell, 813 Skyline Dr., Chester, SC.Mr. Blackwell was born July 20, 1925 in Westminster, SC and was a son of the late John Reece Blackwell and Golda Capps Blackwell and widower of Frances Mayben Blackwell.He attended the schools of Chester County, received his GED, and attended one year at Clemson University.He served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.He is survived by one son, Terry Blackwell and his wife Tina of Chester; two daughters, Sandra Weatherford of Pamplico, SC and Vickie Fletcher and her husband Frank of Chester; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnny M.
