CHESTER: Mr. Donald Eugene “Donnie” Varnadore, 66, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Saluda Street Church of God with Rev. Ronnie Green and Rev. Joe Vicars officating.The interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home. Born September 5, 1947 in Chester, SC, Mr. Varnadore was a son of the late Otis Douglas and Edith Mae Shirley Varnadore.He attended the schools of Chester County and was a millwright worker for AME Corporation in Fort Mill, SC.Mr. Varnadore was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of over fourteen years, Donna Ballard Varnadore; two step-sons Todd Wyatt and his wife Amy andRoy C. “Jay” Strickland all of Chester; one step-daughter, Laura M. Young and her husband Bobby of Chester; one brother James B. Varnadore and his wife Judy of Blackstock; two sisters, Margaret V. Owens of Chester and Janice V. Owens and her husband James Allen of Great Falls and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Frankie Mead, three brothers, Otis Varnadore, Johnny Varnadore and Glenn Varnadore and one sister, Shirley V. Cole.
