Fort Lawn Mr. Charles Clifton Ferguson, 83, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday. March 24, 2018, at Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn with Rev. Karen J. Richmond officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Mr. Ferguson was born October 4, 1934 in Fort Lawn, SC and was a son of the late Charles Clifton Ferguson, Sr. and Ella Kell Ferguson.He was a graduate of the schools of Chester County, SC and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Mr. Ferguson was retired from Springs Industries and was former Mayor of Fort Lawn. He is survived by two cousins, Jane Ferguson Watson (David) of Mayesville, SC and Rosemary Wilson of Fort Worth, TX.
