CHESTER Mr. Bruce Mason Pistole, Jr., 63, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Gastonia Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gastonia, NC with Pastor Ben Rueda officiating.The burial will be private.The family will receive friends anytime at the home, 1196 Crooked Creek Lane, Chester, SC. BornSeptember 20, 1949 in Charlotte, NC, Mr. Pistole was the son of the late Bruce M. and Mary Kale Pistole.He was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and was formerly employed with Southern Bell in Charlotte, NC.Mr. Pistole was a certified Emergency Technician, Parmedic and a Certified Nursing Assistant and also a HAM radio operator.He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard having served during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of over 14 years, Diana Strong Pistole; seven children, James Cooper, Shirlisa Cooper, Chelsea Beck, Rodney Cooper, Ruth Pistole, Rebekah Pistole and Joshua Pistole; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Louise Pistole of Mint Hill, NC and Susan Bradshaw and her husband Larry of Matthews, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
