Betty Kuffner left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2025. She was born March 24, 1923 in Caro, Michigan. She grew up on a farm in Kingston, Michigan, but spent most of her life in Allen Park, Michigan after marrying Charles Kuffner. During WW II she worked for Fleetwood Industries in Detroit, a company making parts for planes and tanks. For a few years, she worked for Sears and her son looked forward to her bringing home fresh roasted peanuts. Most of her working years were spent as a custodian at Inter- City Baptist Church in Allen Park where she, her husband, and son were faithful members. Betty was also known for her baking for church, family friends, and her son's sports teams. She was often told she should open her own bakery. Betty moved to Chester in 2015 after her husband passed away and spent her remaining years with her son. Betty is survived by her son Alan, aka Brent Kuffner (Jane), grandson Chad Kuffner (Terri), granddaughter Meredith Jackson (Ron), great grandchildren Bethany McAvoy, Blake Kuffner, and Levi Jackson. She is also survived by a brother, Donald Gould, a sister, Lois Brule and several nieces and nephews. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Charlie and five other siblings. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, January 21st at 3:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 1903 J.A. Cochran Bypass, Chester, SC with visitation from 2-3 before the service. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church. Friends and family will remember Betty especially for her faithfulness to the Lord. We are sure she heard those words from Him as she entered heaven, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Online condolences may be made to the family at www.barronfuneralhome.com
