Chester Mr. Barney Leon Culp, Sr., 85, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, NC.All services will be private. Mr. Culp was born October 7, 1928 in Edgemoor, SC and was a son of the late Elbert Lewis Culp and Jannie Garrison Culp.He attended the schools of Edgemoor and served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany in 1947 and 1948. He is survived by one son, Barney Leon Culp, Jr. of Emerald Isle, NC; three brothers, Elbert Culp of Salisbury, NC, Robert Culp of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., and Allen Culp of Chester, SC; and five sisters, Nell Roddey of Blackstock, Aileen Spencer and Margaret Kennedy both of Chester, Helen Bagley of Cummings, Ga., and Alice Culp of Columbia.
