Blackstock: Mrs. Barbara Sigmon McKeown,76, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Buzzy Elder officiating. Interment will be private. A native of Lockhart, SC, Mrs McKeown was a daughter of the late Theron and Sarah Sigmon. She attended the schools of Chester County and was a member of Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where she sang in the the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. McKeown is a retired clerk having worked for several Chester merchants. Surviving is: one daughter, Barbara M. McKay and her husband Dink of Blackstock, SC, one son, David M. McKeown and his wife Garnet of Rock Hill, SC, two brothers, Barry Sigmon of Fort Mill, SC and Dewey Sigmon of Big Spring, TX, two sisters, Annette Burton of Monetta, SC and Brenda S. Queen of Chester, SC, five grandchildren and 2 great granchildren. She was the widow of James Strong ?Boog? McKeown The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC 29706.
