Aaron Oscar "Buddy" Burrell

CHESTER: Mr. Aaron Oscar “Buddy” Burrell, Jr, 68, died August 8, 2016 at the Chester Regional Medical Center.A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Paige Wheeler officiating.The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the social hall of the church. Mr. Burrell was born January 4, 1948 in Asheville, NC.He was preceded in death by his parents Aaron Oscar Burrell, Sr. and Anne Rogers Burrell and also a brother Larry Burrell.He was a graduate of Chester High School and York Technical College.Mr. Burrell was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War and was retired from Omnova Solutions.He was an avid basketball player having played in the Industrial Leagues and was an All-star in high school and also served as a referee. He is survived by his wife of over forty-three years Nancy Carter Burrell; one daughter, Kimberly B. Ginty (Thomas M.) of Columbia, SC; one son, Kevin Lee Burrell (Pam) of Rock Hill, SC; one grandson, Gavin Matthew Ginty of Columbia, SC; one sister, Margaret Cash (Ken) of Rock Hill, SC; one brother, Milton Burrell of Chester, SC; brother-in-law, Jim Carter (Arla) of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
