CHESTER Mr. Wylie Ambrose Smith, Sr.83, died June 2, 2010 at the Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester. The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 790 Hawthorne Road, Chester with Rev. Jimmy Sanders and Rev. Melvin Pressley officiating.Interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites.The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM Friday at the First Freewill Baptist Church. Born March 14, 1927 in Chester, SC, Mr. Smith was a son of the late John and Annie Bagley Smith. He was retired from Springs Industries with forty-seven years of service and also retired from Chester County Recycling Center Site #9. He is survived by his wife, Sarah G. Smith; one daughter, Mary S. Dillinger and her husband Jeffrey of Chester; one son, Wylie A. Smith, Jr of Chester and one granddaughter, Melissa Dillinger of Chester.
