CHESTER: Mr. William Harold Young, 65, of 1553 Firetower Road died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Administration Hospital, Columbia, SC. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church with Reverend Matt Horne officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A native of Chester, SC, Mr. Young was the son of James Bratton Young, Sr. and Rebecca Proctor Young .Mr. Young was a graduate ofChester County Schools, a veteran of the US Army , a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church and the Chester Home Builders Association. He was also plant manager of Consolidated Engravers. Surviving is his wife, Rosemarie Georg Young, two sons, Thomas Young and Tony Young both of Chester, SC and one sister, Louise Y. Fleming of Chester, SC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert R. Young and James Bratton Young and one sister, Mary Agnes Young Fowler. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC 29706.
