Chester Mr. William Milton “Bill” Wooten, 70, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Piedmont Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Mr. Cooney Wishert officiating.Interment will follow at Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born January 14, 1947 in Chester, SC, Mr. Wooten was the son of the late Milton Wooten and Jessie Thrailkill Wooten.He was a graduate of Lewisville High School, attended Spartanburg-Methodist Jr. College and graduated from the University of Georgia.Mr. Wooten retired from McDonald Amusements and was former Chester County Recreation Director.He was a member of Uriel Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wooten is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Becky McDonald Wooten; one son, Brian Wooten of Kennesaw, GA; cousins, Jimmy Wooten of Laurinburg, NC and Gary Partlow of Rock Hill, SC; four sister-in-law’s, Dianne McDonald Carnes of Lancaster, SC,Beulah McDonald Newman of Spartanburg, SC, Deborah McDonald Mangum of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Paulette McDonald Rudd of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; and one brother-in-law, Jimmy McDonald (Cyndi) of Myrtle Beach, SC. Memorials may be made to Uriel Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 1578 Stingfellow Road, Chester, SC29706.
