William R. Revis

Chester: Mr. William R. Revis Sr., 70, of 1137 RL?sRoad, died July 28, 2009 in Piedmont Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Friday July 31, 2009, at Fountain of Life Church of God with the Rev. Terry Scruggs officiating. Born April 2, 1939 in Chester, SC, Mr. Revis was the son of the late Toy Ray and Lillie Mae Gregory Revis. He attended the schools of Chester County and was a former supervisor with Springs Industries. He was also a former National Guardsman. Surviving are two sons; William R. (Robbie) Revis Jr. and William R. (Rodney) Revis both of Chester; one daughter Teresa A. Revis of Blackstock; one sister Dottie R. Barrett of Gaston SC; four grandchildren Jonathan A. Revis and his fiance? Ashley Baker, Joshua R. Revis, John O. Collins, Christi Revis. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Jack, Troy and Ray Revis and two sisters Pearl Miller and Betty Darby. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home.
