William Earnest Plyler, Jr.

May 15, 1974 — Oct 30, 2026

Fort Mill

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of William (Billy) Earnest Plyler Jr., a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and uncle who left us on October 30, 2026. Born on May 15, 1974, in Wilmington, NC, Billy graced the world with his gentle presence and unwavering kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 6, 2026 at Lando Church of God with Rev. Jerry Barrineau and Mr. JJ Barrineau officiating.  Interment will follow in Lando Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Barron Funeral Home.

Billy was the beloved son of Kay and the late William Sr., who raised him with love and instilled in him the values of humility and compassion. Predeceased by his dear sister Sallie and father, William Sr., he is survived by his loving wife, Stacey; his cherished children Logan and Lily; devoted mother, Kay; his sister, Ashley (Husband Gary); his brothers, Ben (Wife Tina) and Tony; and multiple nieces and nephews.

In 2016, Billy married Stacey, and together they created a nurturing home filled with love, laughter, and warmth. Blessed with two stepchildren, Lily and Logan, who were the center of Billy's world. His family was his greatest pride, and his love for them was boundless.

Employed with the Town of Pineville, his time was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic. He approached his work with the same quiet dignity that defined his character, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community.

A man of simple pleasures, Billy was a diehard fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Clemson Tigers, and Baltimore Orioles. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he reveled in the camaraderie it fostered. Beyond his love for sports, Billy found joy in cooking, particularly experimenting with new recipes on his smoker. Camping trips were another favorite pastime, providing him quiet peaceful moments with his family. He loved Jesus and attended Fort Lawn Church of God. Driving an hour to attend church every time the doors were open was a testament to his faith and his love for his church family. He also loved playing pool and most knew him by his nickname “Tito”.

Billy was known for his quiet and modest demeanor, yet his presence was felt deeply by all who knew him. To meet Billy was to love him, as he possessed a rare and genuine spirit that touched the hearts of many.

In honor of Billy's life and legacy, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Colon Cancer Support Network of the Carolinas, based in Harrisburg, NC. Their work continues to be a beacon of hope and support, just as Billy was to those around him.

Billy's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and integrity. Though he may no longer walk among us, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love he so generously gave.
