Chester Mr. William Kenneth Peay, 71, died Monday, October 3, 2011at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Taylor officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Peay was born January 14, 1941 and was a son of the late William Hazel Peay and Virginia Clark Peay.He attended the schools of Chester County and was a member of West Chester Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Gladys Smith Peay; one son, Kenneth Norman Peay and wife Holly of New Hampshire; one daughter, Cathy Peay Torbert and husband Larry of Chester; one grandson, Samuel Peay of NC; one granddaughter, Kimberly McWatters of Richburg; two great-grandchildren, Trace and Alyssa Swagert; three step grandaughters, Marianna Torbert and Blakely Torbert and Jane Gibson all of Chester; six step great-grandchildren, Victoria, Shaniyah, Kyan, Jakody, Marshall, and Cameron; and one sister, Sandra Peay Thomas of Texas.
