William Barry "Bear" Hucks

Chester, SC: William Barry “Bear” Hucks, 64, died Saturday July 31, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2021 at Barron Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Scott Sherrill officiating. The family will also receive friendsFriday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Mr. Hucks was born on July 27, 1957 and was a son of the late Billy Eugene Hucks and Carrie Ford Hucks. “Bear” was a graduate of Fort mill High School and was formerly employed with Trico of Rock Hill. He was a member of West Chester Baptist Church. Mr. Hucks was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and enjoyed fishing and watching western movies. Bear will always be in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his wife of over thirty nine years, Sherrie Lynne Lane Hucks; four children, Carrie Lynne Hucks and her fiance’ Keegan of Vale, NC, Sherrie Nicole Hucks of Chester, SC, William Cody Lane Hucks of Rock Hill, SC and Jessica Irene Cindy Hucks and her fiance’ A.J. Burgess of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, Aimee, Andrew, Samantha and Wyatt; one brother, Kenneth Hucks of Fort Mill, SC and one sister, Karen Marie Hucks of Rock Hill, SC and his Uncle Paul Hucks and his wife Judy of Lancaster, SC.
