CHESTER Mr. William Ronald “Ronnie” Freeman, 68, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be 4:00 PM Saturday at First Baptist Church Chester with Rev. Clay Waldrip and Rev. Mike Shaffer officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 pm Friday at Barron Funeral Home. Born December 11, 1944 in Chester, SC, Mr. Freeman was a son of the late Memory Hicks Freeman and Mary Elizabeth Orr Freeman.He was a 1963 graduate of Chester High School and attended the University of South Carolina.He was a veteran of the United States Army Reservesand retired from the Chester County Health Department as the Environmental Quality Manager.He was a member of First Baptist Church Chester and attended Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church Lake Side Services at Lake Wateree. He is survived by his wife, Liz Ramsey Freeman; three sons, Russell Logan Freeman and his wife Terri of Lancaster, SC, William Matthew Freeman and his wife Amanda of Richburg, SC and Michael Montgomery of Blackstock, SC; two daughters, Robin Elizabeth Beam and her husband Kip of Blackstock, SC and Martha Renee Montgomery of Blackstock, SC and seven grandchildren, Brooke Logan Freeman, Lexus Alyssa Freeman, Jordan Nicole Freeman, Autumn Ren Beam, Thomas Monty Beam, Ashley Creighton Montgomery and Madison Gabriel Montgomery.He was preceded in death by a brother Hicks Elmore.
