Mr. William R. ?Bill? Carraway, 70, of 120 Oakland Avenue died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating. Interment will be private. Born January 21, 1938 in York County, SC, Mr. Carraway was the son of the late George Lee and Mary Sue Nivens Carraway.He was a graduate of Clover High School in Clover, SC and attended the University of Maryland.He was employed with US Food Service in Fort Mill, SC and was a former S.C. Highway Patrolman and was formerly employed with City of Rock Hill Police Department.He was a member of Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the US Air Force. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Westmoreland Carraway; two daughters, Kimberly L. Turner and her husband Randy of Pacolet, South Carolina and Tina C. Estes and her husband Joey of Chester, SC; one son, Todd L. Carraway of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Brandon Turner, Justin Robbins, Savannah Carraway, Alicia Estes and Macy Carraway and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 ? 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
