Wallace "Buck" Boyd BLACKSTOCK: Mr. William Wallace "Buck" Boyd died Wednesday July 8, 2009 at his residence.He was 75.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 11, 2009 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Matt Horne, the Rev. Dale Roddey, and the Rev. Dr. Ed Melvin officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Chester County on July 6, 1934, Mr. Boyd was a son of the late Andrew W. and Josie Brooks Boyd.He was a graduate of Blackstock High School and was retired branch manager of Founders Credit Union after 26 years of service.As a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, Mr. Boyd formerly served as an Elder and various other church activities.He was past president of Chester Rotary Club and Chester County Chamber of Commerce, past Master of Blackstock Masonic Lodge # 180, former member of Chester County Zoning Committee, and the Chester Airport Committee. Surviving are his wife, Edna Carter Boyd; sons, Daniel Wallace Boyd and wife Joy of Chester and David A. Boyd of York; daughter, Debora B. Stroud and husband Dan of Kershaw; grandchildren, Jason Stroud, Paula McBrayer, Lori West, and Matthew and Alexandria Boyd; and great grandchildren, Blair and Knox McBrayer and Gabriel West.He is also survived by brothers, Andrew Boyd, Jr., George Boyd, and Dennis Boyd of Blackstock, and Tommy Boyd of Fort Lawn, SC; and a sister, Janie Swygart of Chester. The family will receive friends from 7:00 ~ 8:30 Friday evening at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
