CHESTER Mr. William Heyward Bagley, 74, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Palmetto Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. A graveside service will be heald 4:00 PM Sunday at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Willoughby officiating. Born June 7, 1935 in Chester, Mr. Bagley was a son of the late Albert Frasier Bagley and Josie Bennett Bagley. A graduate of the schools of Chester County he was a US Army veteran during the Korean War having received a Purple Heart.He was a member of Blackstock Masonic Lodge and Hejaz Shrine Temple.He was retired from Dillon Industrial Equipment Company for over twenty-five and also former owner and operator of Bagley Locksmith for over twenty-nine years. He is survived by his wife Norma Jean Lemons Bagley; three sons, John Bagley of Chester, Greg Bagley and his wife Dona of Waynesville, NC and Danny Bagley and his wife Krystal of Moody Air Force Base, GA; ten grandchildren; one great grandson and beloved pet Bandit. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 1660 Pleasant Grove Road, Chester, SC 29706 or Blackstock First Baptist Church Building Fund.
