Vivian Vernelle Beckham Roof

Vivian Vernelle Beckham Roof, 97, died Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Cornwell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Foster officiating. Mrs. Roof was born August 23, 1927 in Rock Hill, SC and was a daughter of the late Marvin Beckham and Frances Hines Beckham. She attended Chester High School and retired from Springs Industries. She was an member of Cornwell Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Roof enjoyed crafts and pottery. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved those Carolina Gamecocks. While a resident at Farrow Place in Rock Hill, she made many friends and enjoyed the activities with the other residents. She is survived by two sons, Keith Roof (Martha) of Rock Hill and Randy Roof (Linda) of Pawleys Island; four grandchildren, Heather Means (Jeff) of York, Kyle Roof of Pawleys Island, Brooke Cannon (Kirk) of Chester and Veronica Hinson (Cam) of Heath Springs; eight great grandchildren; one niece, Donna Jean Parrish (Richard) of McConnells; and other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roof was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Stinson Lee Roof; four brothers, Larry, Gilbert, Bradley and Hoyt Beckham; and three sisters, Elsie Hall, Dorothy Neely and Mary Frances Beckham.
