Vivian Roy Statham

Chester Mr. Vivian Roy Statham, 88, died Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 27, 2018at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev Terry Fowler officiating. The family willreceive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. He was born in Rayville, Louisiana January 3, 1930 and was a son of the late Harry Lewis Statham and Myrine Heath Statham. He was a graduate of Rayville High School and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. He was retired from Bowater, enjoyed dancing and especially ballroom, clogging and the jitterbug. Roy loved nature and fishing and hunting. Mr. Statham is survived by his wife of over 68 years Sara Wilkes Statham; two children Vivian Roy “Stacy” Statham Jr. (Ariane) of Flagstaff, AZ, Lewis Cleveland Statham (Robin) of Chester SC; three grandchildren Kelly Statham (Sharon) of Elgin SC , Stacy Statham Stacy (Gerry)of Chapin SC, Joseph Stathamof Syracuse , NY; two great grandchildren, Carlee Statham and Lydia Statham both of Elgin SC .
