Chester: Virginia Gwendolyn Hyatt Pettit, 65,of 126 Gregg Ave. died Tuesday June 30, 2009 at her residence. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Thursday July 2, 2009, at First Church of the Nazerene with Rev. John Porter officiating. Interment will be in Lando Cemetery. A native of Chester, SC, Mrs. Pettit wasthe daughter of the late Margaret Young Hyatt and Walter Lee Hyatt Jr.. She attended the schools of Chester County andwas formerly employed with Bordens. Surviving is one daughter, Mitzi Grant of Ridgway, SC.Two sisters, Dale Miller of Matthews, NC and Frankie Levister of Chester, SC,twograndchildren Heather McCutcheon and Billy Reynolds.and three great grandchildren, Jonathan and Colby McCutcheon and Zack Reynolds. She is also survived by her companion Wendall Lucas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00PM Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home 133 Wylie St. Chester, SC.
