Virginia Katherine McNinch Bland

Virginia Katherine McNinch Bland, 95, died Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Rock Hill Grove Senior Living.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.  Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM Monday, November 24, at Barron Funeral Home.

Born March 4, 1930 in Chester, SC, she was a daughter of the late W.R. McNinch and Marie Roof McNinch. She attended the schools of Chester County, SC and was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.  Virginia was an avid shopper and loved to travel.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and keeping her yard and grass manicured.  Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester.

She is survived by four children, Linda Miller of Upland, PA, Barbara Starnes (Chuck) of Chester, SC, Nancy Robinson (Tim) of Chester, SC and Ricky Bland (Anne) of Rock Hill, SC; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bland and her brother, Robert McNinch.

The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rock Hill Grove Senior Living for their kindness to our mother and to us as we go through these difficult times and also to VIA Hospice for all their help and care to our mother during her final days.
