Virgil Palmer Campbell

Chester: Virgil Palmer Campbell, 86, died Tuesday May 3 ,2011 at Chester Regional Nursingl Center. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 6, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Thursday Evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Barron Funeral Home.Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens. Mr. Campbell was born January 4, 1925 in Front Royal, VA, a son of the late Joseph Campbell and Rosie Bell Wines Campbell. He attended the schools of Front Royal, VA, was of the Nazarene faith and was a great father. He retired form Springs Industries after more than 31 years of service as a weaver. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Bessie G. Campbell; one daughter, Janice Campbell Porter of Dalton, GA; three sons, Roger D. Campbell and his wife Gail of Seneca, SC, Claude Campbell and his wife Ann of Chester, SC and Ralph V. Campbell and his wife Darla of Richburg, SC; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Roseboro of Concord, NC and Gene Roseboro of Boiling Springs, SC;two sisters, Louise Campbell of Wellford, SC and Jeanette Roseboro of Maine and several nieces and nephews.
