Violet Bagley Knox

Chester: Mrs. Violet Bagley Knox, 90, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, October 6, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Chaplin Kathryn Wilds and Mr. Ralph Garris officiating . The family will receive friends the day of the service from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Mrs. Knox was born in Chester, SC on July 20, 1927 and was a daughter of the late Arthur and Irene Smith Bagley. She attended the schools of Chester County and was former owner and operator of Insurance Servicesin Great Falls, SC and also former Vice President of Spratt Savings and Loan having managed the Winnsboro and Great Falls branch. Mrs. Knox is survived by James G. Knox, Jr;one son, Dr. James G. Knox III (Tonnyia), of Tega Cay, SC; one grandson, James G. Knox, IV (Amy) of Chester, SC; one granddaughter, Connie Bagley Knox of Tega Cay, SC; three great grandchildren,Jordan Elizabeth Knox, Rachel Taylor Knox, James Grayson Knox all of Chester, SC; two step-grandchildren, Carrie Marie Bougus of Charlotte, NC and Kurt Robert Bougus of Chester, SC and one niece Margaret Susan McCandless Hausman of Chester, SC.
