ROCK HILL, SC: Mrs. Vernie Lee Funderburk Gosh Clark, 88, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Park Point Village Retirement Home in Rock Hill.All services will be private. Born April 12, 1927 inChesterfield County, SC, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Orion Jones Funderburk and Varnie Plyer Funderburk.Mrs. Clark was a 1948graduate of Winthrop College and she also attended Clemson University.She was a retired Junior High School Teacher having taught in Camden, Greenville, and Chester counties.Mrs. Clark had a long tenured membership at the First Baptist Church in Chester, SC.She was the widow of Dr. Raymond Gosh of Chester, SC and Henry Clark of Park Village Retirement Home in Rock Hill. She is survived by one brother, Calvin C. Funderburk of Hickory Grove, SC and several nieces and nephews that were all near and dear to her.She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters, among which was a sister, Belva Grant Beaver a longtime residence of Chester, SC.
