Mrs. Verda Lyda Hall, 89, formerly of 3163 Great Falls Highway, Richburg died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, SC. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 15, at Blackstock Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. David Riddle officiating. Born August 11, 1919 in Cherokee County, SC Mrs. Hall was the daughter of the late John and Emma Burgain Lyda.She was a graduate of Jenkinsville High School and a retired dairy farmer and a homemaker and a member of Blackstock Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sons, Joe Hall, Jr. of Columbia, SC and John ?Jack? Hall of Lawrenceville, GA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild and one sister, Frances M. Mills of Blackstock, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
