Varrell T. McIntosh CHESTER:Mr. Varrell Thomas McIntosh of 1616 Pleasant Grove Road died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Fairfield Healthcare in Ridgeway, SC.He was 73. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday February 22, 2009 at Blackstock First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Willoughby officiating.Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mr. McIntosh was born January 17, 1936 in Decatur, Indiana, a son of the late Thomas Marshall andEsther Stevenson McIntosh.He was a graduate of Convoy, Ohio High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.Mr. McIntosh was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church was retired from Zenith Engraving. Surviving are his wife Lulubell Swygart McIntosh; daughter, Debbie Kay Powell and her husband Randy of Chester; grandchildren, Stephanie Widener and Brittany Byers of Chester, Morgan McIntosh Gabriel of Hartsville, SC, and Laura Lucas and Steven Powell of Lancaster, SC; great grandchildren, Jillian Melzer and Bryson Byers of Chester, John M. Powell, Baili Powell, and Jake Lucas of Lancaster; half brother, Verlin McIntosh of Decatur; step brother, Martin Hullinger of Decatur; sister, Vivian Fluttrow of Fort Wayne, IN; step sisters, Mary Lou Thieme of Mesa, AZ and Jean Foreman of Decatur.He was preceded in death by his son, David Thomas McIntosh and brothers, Vance and Vaughn McIntosh. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC.
