Twinkle Friendly Maloy

INMAN, SC Mrs. Twinkle Friendly Maloy, 76, passed peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC.A graveside service will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Rick Wheeler officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Born June 21, 1937 in Chester, Twinkle was the daughter of the late Walter and Maggie Williamson Friendly.She was a graduate of Chester High School in 1955 and then attended Spartanburg Methodist College earning an associate’s degree. Twinkle then moved to Jacksonville, FL and was employed by Southern Bell as an operator.She then attended Nova Southern University earning her bachelor’ s degree.She advanced in the phone company to management position then obtained her master’s degree in business administration.She ended her career teaching for Nova Southeast University.She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a former member of Second Baptist Church of Chester. She is survived by her husband of over forty-four years Kenneth Maloy and several nieces and nephews.
