CHESTER: Mrs. Tracey Faye DuBose Vess, 71, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Bishop officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home. Born April 13, 1943 in Florence County, South Carolina, Mrs. Vess was a daughter of the late Early Lane DuBose and Virginia Say Shedd DuBose.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Chester Housing Authority as Executive Director.Mrs. Vess was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Virgil E. “Buddy” Vess, Jr; one son, Daryl Boyd of Rock Hill, SC; one daughter, Denna B. Robinson of Chester; two step-daughters, Beverly Winchester (Joel) of Chester and Suzanne Roderick (Jeremy) of Rock Hill; one step-son, Buddy D. Vess of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one sister, Linda Kennedy of Rock Hill.She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry DuBose and one sister, Wilma Ridgeway.
