CHESTER, SC Mr. Timothy Wayne Houston, 60, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home.A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2016 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Jenkins officiating.The interment will be private. Born September 9, 1956 in Chester County, SC, Mr. Houston was as a son of the late Roy Houston and Jane West Houston.He attended Chester High School and York Technical College.Mr. Houston was a retired truck driver, having driven for several local companies.He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist.Mr. Houston was dedicated to the Lord, and did volunteer work for several churches and also enjoyed sharing the spirit of Christmas. He is survived his wife of forty-two years, Elizabeth Susan Jackson Houston; one son, Michael Paul Houston of Clover, SC and his wife Christy; two grandsons; Dawson and Tucker Houston of Clover, SC; one granddaughter, Martha Burton of Chester; one brother, Coleman Eugene Houston and his wife Cathy of Wytheville, VA and one sister, Vickie Houston Miller of Chester.
