Thomas Franklin "Frankie" Farmer

CHESTER: Thomas Franklin “Frankie” Farmer, 63, went home to be with his LORD Monday, December 15, 2014.The funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Sealy and Rev. David Brown officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home. Born July 29, 1951 in Chester, SC, Mr. Farmer was the son of the late Jones Farmer, Jr. and Sara Henrietta Sealy Farmer.Mr. Farmer was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Technical College and was retired from Essex after 38 years of service.Mr. Farmer was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a dedicated teacher in the AWANA program, active with the drama team and a teacher in the children’s ministry and also enjoyed being a part of the mission team. He is survived by his wife of over twenty-nine years, Charlene Burgess Farmer; two daughters, Sara Lynn Farmer of Chester and Missy Murphy (Jason) of Rock Hill; one son, Johnny Love (Paula) of Chester; four grandchildren, Jake Estes of Clover, Kent Murphy and Kyle Murphy both of Rock Hill and Faith Cato of Chester; one sister, Lois Ann Murrell (Tommy) of Chester;and a God Child Macy Martin of Chester. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Stapleton. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to Jerry and Julia McCluney and Ronnie and Christy Gibbs and Hunter, Mackie and Brice and his caregiver, Paula Love, his daughter-in-law and Tommy Murrell, his brother-in-law.
