Thomas Eugene "Sandy" Cope

Chester Mr. Thomas Eugene “Sandy” Cope II, 53, died Sunday, March 1, 2020, at his home.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 05, 2020, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. James Sanders officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, March 05, at Barron Funeral Home. Mr. Cope was born December 16, 1966 in Chester, SCand was a son of Rachel Lee Prewitt and the late Thomas Eugene Cope. He attended the schools of Chester County and was formerly employed with Springs Industries. Mr. Cope also formerly attended First Free Will Baptist Church. Sandy loved to fish and to be outdoors. He was an excellent carpenter, and enjoyed gardening and playing the guitar. In addition to his mother he is survived by one son Chris Cope and his wife Angel of Blackstock, SC; three granddaughters, Kiley Cope, Alissa Cope and Sadey Cope all of Blackstock, SC; two sisters, Kerri Fenton, of Rock Hill, SC and Shannon Rakes and her husbandAlan of Union, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; and two aunts Mattie Huffstetler of York, SC and Dee Prewitt Hobbs of Forest City, NC and an uncle Edward Messer of Chester, SC.
