Chester Mrs. Thelma Culp Andrews, 91, of West Columbia, SC died Wednesday, January 1, 2014.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Dennis officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Andrews was born in Edgemoor, SC and was a daughter of the late Elbert L. Culp and Elizabeth Garrison Culp.She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church and was retired from Civil Service where she worked as a court reporter for the Federal government. She is survived by her sisters Nell Culp Roddey of Blackstock, Ailein Culp Spencer of Chester, Margaret "Tot" Culp Kennedy of Chester, Helen Culp Bagby of Cummins, Ga., and Alice Culp Abston of Columbia; brothers, Elbert L. Culp, Jr. of Salisbury, NC, Barney L. Culp of Chester, Robert M. Culp of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., and Allen B. Culp of Chester; and a special sister-in-law, Donna Boozer (Hayne) of Greenwood, SC.She was preceded in death by two brothers, Neal and John Culp.
