Terry Wayne Melton, Sr.

Chester Terry Wayne Melton, Sr., 76, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Barron Funeral Home. Mr. Melton was born June 11, 1948 in Charleston, SC and was a son of the late Walter Reuben Melton and Peggy Collins Melton. He retired having managed several convenience stores for Mr. Quick and Quick Food Stores in Chester. He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Harriet Elaine McMahan Melton; one son, Terry Melton, II (Kassidy) of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Alexis Melton and Lily Grace Melton of Gaffney; one nephew and two nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Melton was preceded in death by a son, Reuben Wayne “Bo” Melton; a sister, Kay Ferrell; and a brother, Donnie Melton.
