CHESTER, SC: Mr. Ted Cudd, Sr. died Tuesday, December 05, 2017 at his home.The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the vestibule of First Baptist Church of Chester.The funeral service will be 2:00 Thursday, Dec. 7 at First Baptist Church of Chester with Reverend Clay Waldrip and Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.The interment will be in Old Purity Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Born October 17, 1936 in Chester, SC, Mr. Cudd was a son of the late Ben Tillman Cudd and Lucille McGuinn Cudd. He was a US Navy Veteran and founder of Cudd Heating and A/C.Mr. Cudd was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and also Masonic Lodge #89.He was the widower of Ruth Addison Cudd. He issurvived by one son, Gene Cudd (Cathy) of Chester, SC; one daughter, Jody Cudd Craig (Fred) of Chester; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Tim Cudd (Jan) of Daphne, AL, Steve Cudd (Susan) of Lancaster, SC and Roger Cudd of Chester, SC; one sister, Sandra Varnadore of Chester, SC and a special friend Sarah Hargett of Chester, SC.
