CHESTER:Mrs. Susan Gaston Roof, 62, died Saturday, April 25, 2015.The funeral service will 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Monday, April 27, 2015 at Barron Funeral Home.The interment will be Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born June 20, 1952 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Roof was the daughter ofthe late Robert O’Neal Gaston and Evelyn Hyatt Burton.She was a graduate of Chester High School and also York Technical College and retired as a Certified Nursing Assistiant with Uni-Health in Rock Hill, SC.Mrs. Roof was a member of Community Church of Chester.She enjoyed as her hobbies, fishing and crafts.Her passion was spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert Wylie “Cooter” Roof of over ten and half years; two children, Steven Roof (Danielle) and James Roof all of Chester; three grandchildren; one brother, Timothy O. Gaston (Cindy) of Union, SC; one sister, Cathy G. Wishert (Albert) of Chester; step-brother, Ronnie Bell (Lisa) of Gastonia, NC; step-sister, Rhonda White of Chester and her step-mother, Dorothy Gaston of Chester. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Stanley Gaston and one sister, Barbara Karen Gaston. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery, C/O Robert E.
